Raggedy Ann is a fictional character created by American writer Johnny Gruelle (1880–1938) in a series of books he wrote and illustrated for young children. Raggedy Ann is a rag doll with red yarn for hair and has a triangle nose. The character was created in 1915 as a doll, and was introduced to the public in the 1918 book Raggedy Ann Stories. A doll was also marketed along with the book to great success. A sequel, Raggedy Andy Stories (1920) introduced the character of her brother, Raggedy Andy, dressed in sailor suit and hat.

Today's activity is a small Andy, red yarn hair, triangle nose, eyes round ... with a boat-hat ...
On my sample I draw for this little angel a sad mouth, but it's my sample and it's to you to change its mood.
I add at the end the small bear, but you can choose another thing to put in his hands ... or nothing.

If you choose to add the boat-hat, don't need to shade all hair!
Use the symetry for less job.
Add a text on a new layer, above the hat, use a very small font.
space the words like it was columns on a news paper
pull down opacity (nearly 50) on this layer.
With the airbrush tool, I draw 1 cheek on a new layer,
I use my dithering brush (diversify density and opacity, till you are happy with the result)
....add a gaussian blur (radius 1) and erase everything beyond the outline
... duplicate and mirror for the second cheek.
Also add 2 small hearts ...
If you choose the outline with arms ahead, here is the shading.
